F.No.4/9/1/2014-IR
Government of India
Ministry of Finance
Department of Financial Services
Jeewan Deep Building,
IIIrd Floor, Parliament Street,
New Delhi Dated
the 2nd March, 2015
To
CEOs of all Public Sector Banks
including IDBI and SBI Associates

Subject: Bringing outside influence for transfer/postings/ disciplinary matters/appointments etc.

Sir,

I am directed to refer to the subject cited above and to say that some employees of Public Sector Banks have been using political pressure/ bringing outside influence in matters related to their transfers/postings/ disciplinary matters/ appointments' etc to this Department. The issue has been examined in this Department and it has been decided to advise the Banks to sensitize their employees to refrain from such activities so as to avoid disciplinary action as per rules.

2. In this context, Banks are once again advised to frame a fair and transparent system of transfers/postings as already conveyed vide this Department's letter dated 13th January, 2015 and also to build a robust mechanism to address the grievances of their employees at their level.

3. This issues with the approval of Secretary (FS).

Yours fait fully,
sd/-
(Manish Kumar)
Under Secretary to the Government of India
