CIRCULAR/GS/2014/O7
28th Feb 2014
TO ALL OUR
MEMBERS:
Dear Friends,
I AM GREATFUL TO ALL OF YOU,
FRIENDS
After put in more than 35 years of service,
I am retiring from Bank’s service today and I am saying “ADIEU” to the Bank
.After having spent most of my life time in the Bank as well as in the Trade
union front, parting is indeed a painful affair.
I had the unique opportunity of leading
the Federation as Frontline soldier. At this sunset hour in Central Bank of India, when I
look back very many memories overwhelm me. It was a long and eventful journey.
I have made every effort to be as selfless as possible while attending to the
problems, difficulties & miseries of our members. I have never hesitated to
call a spade a spade whenever situation warranted so. Fear or consequences have
never deterred me from upholding the cause and the interest of the officer’s
community.
I have taken lot of liberties with my
colleagues in the Executive committee, in my anxiety to ensure that the flag of
the Federation is always kept fluttering and we continue to remain the torch
bearers of the great institution in our bank in an exemplary manner.
I would not have been successful in my
present assignment, but for the unseen hands and faces of the thousands &
thousands of officers all over the country, who rallied round the Federation
and followed the direction of the organization all the time. It is our beloved
bank and AICBOF that made me what I am today. I have gained much, much more
from the activities of AICBOF than what I have contributed to it.
AICBOF & Our office bearers &
members have provided me umpteen opportunities to grow in stature, position
& experience. The infinite love, care & concern showered upon me by
each & every one of you is my greatest savings. I am grateful to all my
friends for the immense faith & trust reposed in me.
Let me assure each one of you that I
shall continue to be available at the other end of my mobile as your friend
& well wisher.
Thanking You,
(A.R.Saifullah)

PROMOTION PROCESS IN SPECIALIST
CATEGORY
We furnish hereunder the communication sent to the
management for the information
“We express our gratitude to
our administration for initiating the promotion process in all scales for the
year 2014-15. But we are surprised to note that the process is only for General
Category officers. More than 400 Agriculture Finance Officers, those who have
completed more than 2 years continuous service in our bank are expressing their
unhappiness over the discrimination shown to them in the latest announcement of
promotion process.
We wish to state that after
completion of 2 years as AFOs, such officers are being considered for promotion
in other banks and after promotion they are being posted as Branch Managers
directly absorbing them under general category. We request your good self to
consider the expectations of such AFOs as is being done in other peer banks in
their career path, which will surely motivate them for putting extra efforts in
the growth of agriculture credit.
As they are highly qualified
and are contributing in the growth and development of the bank, particularly in
Agriculture Finance, we request your good self to direct the department to take
immediate steps to initiate/ enhance the career path of Agriculture Officers.”
Further developments would be
informed in due course.
